Hi Michelle,
We had another disconnection about 6:45pm and the router could not reconnect for half an hour. After the reconnection the router shows that the connection is very slow again, see below. Hi Robert1981,
I am just sending you a private message to confirm a couple of details so we can arrange for this fault to be investigated further. Thanks Debbie

Hi Robert1981,
Thank you for the PM. I have logged the dropping connection over to our Network team for further investigation and as soon as we receive an update back we will advise ASAP. Please can you also ensure that the modem is set to always on or disconnect if idle set to 0 in the modem settings. Thanks Michelle

Hi Michelle,
Thanks! Just to make sure you want me to keep the router always on and disconnect it when I see that the ADSL state is "Down"? Sorry I don't know how to check this: "idle set to 0 in the modem settings." Thanks!! Robert |

Hi Robert,
the phrase Please can you also ensure that the modem is set to always on or disconnect if idle set to 0 in the modem settings means to use whichever, setting your router has either always on or idle timeout.

Hi Ady,
Thanks for your message, my router is: HUAWEI EchoLife HG520b I found the following settings in Basic/WAN settings: Connection [x] Connect on Demand: Max Idle Timeout Minutes: 30 [] Nailed-Up Connection [] Connect Manually Should I set the first one to 0 instead of 30? Or should I rather tick the "Nailed-Up connection" option? Sorry for the many questions, I am just really not familiar with these things. Thanks! Robert |

You can leave the first one as it is and just put the dot next to nailed up connection.

Hi Robert1981,
Networks have advised that we should book an engineer visit for this. So if you could confirm that you accept possible Time Related Charges and provide at least 2 slots AM or PM on at least 2 different days.
