Hi susanashley,

Welcome to the forums.

I have changed the profile from 6db to 12db interleaved, please can you monitor the connection to see how it compares.

Thanks

Hey

Problem solved, there has been no disconnects.

Just one more thing; Why has the Downstream Rate dropped from slightly over 2000 to 1381 Kbps since the change you made? I don't have a problem with this if it's gonna make us more stable but just curious.

Thanks

Hi susanashley,

How has the connection been since your last post?

A higher profile will help to improve stability but will reduce the speed. If the connection has been stable on 12db we could try a 9db profile to increase the speed?

Thanks

Michelle

Hey again.

There has been 1 disconnection yesterday, but i think that was because of the bad rain we had and was back up when it reconnected and stayed on from then on.

I'd prefer stability and the speed is actually fine, I don't actually see a diffrence to what we had before. Thanks for offer anyway but if decreasing dB is gonna make us more prone to disconnections then that's not really necessary.

Thanks again

P.S I will continue to monitor our connection for about 2 more weeks then report back here at the end of those 2 week from today just to make sure.

Sorry for the long delay.

Our connection has actually started randomly disconnecting again from about 3 weeks ago, we thought it would stop but it hasn't and before then it was running fine 24/7. We have tryed diffrent cables and also the talktalk router etc but they still disconnect with those. Again this is a big problem for us because we play online games here on the pc and playstation.

Can it be fixed?

Also I don't really want to higher the profile again because any slower then what we have is kinda bad and what we have now is bearable. (1600 Kbps / 320 Kbps)

Hi susanashley,

You are currently on a 12db profile.

Just to confirm is the modem currently connected at the test socket, also have you tested with a different microfilter?

Please can you also ensure that the modem is set to always on or disconnect if idle set to 0 in the modem settings. If you need instructions on how to do this, please let us know.

Thanks

Debbie
