I can state for a fact that during the week my exchange was having its LLU capacity increased by Opal, my line rate got reset many times to stupid numbers and the throughput was horrendous. The trouble was that no one from TT could say that was what was going on. Only afterwards when everything returned to normal 6.5Mbps speeds could I see the reason why. Really TT should be doing a better job of keeping its customers informed.

I'm back again I contacted TT support last weekend over my speed and the following day had increased to 2.0meg, only to say now its back to 900k to 1.3meg. Will contact them again but in saying that within my 30 day trial I will cancel not really impressed, have to go over the same thing again with a guy I cannot understand, I have not the time or patients to do this all the time.

Mike, your sync speed was still 2Mb.

I changed your profile to 9db profile and you got a sync speed of 2.6Mb which at 3.2 miles of cable from the exchange this isn't bad at all but it makes your line unstable so I have changed it back to 15db.

Thats the problem with living so far from the exchange.

Hi Matt I have started a new thread as was using somebody else tread tut tut. I appreciate very much what you are doing for me and know its not really your problem. What annoys me is when I contacted TT with the possibility of using them there was not a problem, I was 1.8 miles from the exchange and a guarantee of at least 2.0meg. If this was untrue like you say im 3.2miles away why did they not tell me this. I understand that you loose speed at that distance, so I would have been better off were I was.
At the moment Matt Im running at 1.8m it is better than yesterday when it was 900k. Will keep you informed, will phone Techie help later this afternoon.

regardless of your ISP you will be the same distance from the exchange. The piece of cable and the exchange remain a constant.

Estimated Line Length (meters) 5140
Estimated Line Length (Km) 5.14
Estimated Line Length (Miles) 3.19384792688

When you quote the speeds, are they synch speed or download speeds?
