View Full Version : Talktalk staff need thread editing powers

I would give all the talktalk guys the power to move posts to new threads and then write some kind of policy for creating a new thread when an instance of it occurs. Ie, pm the user who posted the new question with a link to the new thread, pm the person whose thread was posted in, and maybe some naming convention like a little (m) at the end of the topic name to show what the new thread is. If more people (ie the talktalk chaps rather than just Matt and Chris) had this power the boards would probably be easier to understand and follow and questions from new users would not risk getting overlooked.

Hi Squawk,
One for Matt this but I do know that he is already looking at some new user profiles giving certain support staff or all support staff the ability to edit posts and stuff.
Not sure how far off it is, I would imagine this may come into play once Chris is back and Matt is a little less busy

Easy with the user permissions on here.
I'd reccomend putting the default email notification setting to ON as this lets everyone know when they've received a reply to a post they have made, Same on PM's, instant email notification again.
We all have the option to do this ourselves in Settings (http://www.talktalkmembers.com/forums/usercp.php) but most people don't even know about it.

I personally would hate that, everytime I post and forget to click a little tick box I get bomarded with emails... No thanks.
