in the last two days my Smart AX has been takeing a long time to
connect to the internet:|

Hi Jimbob,
Looks like youre having a lot of trouble with dropping connections 39 drops so far today.
Let us know if you need our help, you do judging by the connection logs.:(

hi. it usally take only a few minutes for my router to connect but like i said since saturday night it takes longer. the LINK Light flashes every few seconds then goes off. after about 8 min
it stays orange

Hi Jimbob,
you are very close to the exchange for your line speed to be around 4mbps.
Are you connected to the master/test socket?
Do you have filters on all your sockets?
Are you using a loose lead extension?
Do you have sky?
Let me know and we will see where to go next.

If got that in the right order can you move the modem to the master socket and power it up and i will check the stats again?

the problem is my computer and the main socket are a long way from each other. my computer is in my bedroom and the main socket is in the hallway

Well maybe we would be better to arrange a convenient time for a call.
Honestly internal wiring accounts for a good 50 - 60 percent of calls, dropping connection slow speeds etc.

The bits of most interest are your Downstream SNR and Downstream Channel attenuation (interference) and both look good.
