I do a bit of online gaming and am led to believe that your PING is all important ,I understand what ping is and that the smaller your ping is, the better your online gaming experience .What I would really like to know is your ping measurement purely determined by the speed of your internet or is there something else that determines your ping. I ask this as I have a reasonable speed of about 9 Mbps but my ping is always very low in fact its always lower than everyone else's ,as I said Iknow this is good but why and how?.........Andy

Read TT Profiles Guide. Linky (http://www.k9.talktalk.net/guides.htm)
It boils down to whether error correction is being applied to your line, along with the quality of your line
Interleaved profile ISNR? error correction on, data has to be messed with at both ends
FastPath Error correction off Data is sent straight per se
(very basically)

yes, if you have a low snr, with interleaving off, simply sneezing can knock the connection off. :p
