Hi . I am new to TT but seem to have had every problem going trying to get on to LLU broadband. I applied early January for the full service but the application was lost. I reapplied and after nothing happened I rang to find out why and it appeared that a form that needed to be filled in had not been. Eventually I was connected early February.I had been told that my broadband connection would be connected at the same time or soon after. After numerous inquiry's and promises of start dates it appears that a again a form had not been completed and until it had been I would not even get started. I understand that the form has now been filled in and that maybe it will be connected within 4 weeks. In the meantime I have been connected to a 2 meg line. That means that it will have taken 4 months to get connected, thats if this is not just another promise. It does worry me that after talking and mailing so many people and being promised so many start dates why this form problem had not been noticed. I wonder how many other people have had this problem. Am I just unfortunate or is there a fault in the application system?

Hi RCF,
Not sure what form was or has been completed???? I am not in the office now so am unable to confirm if an LLU order has been placed and when it will go live.
I wont be in the office till around 11am tomorrow, i will check and update then unless one of the support guys picks this up then.
Thanks

Thanks Guys but as of yet it now seems according to the trace order that there is nothing to trace as there is no order. I am just totally bewildered with all of this.I even spoke to the broadband Techie and he said he had me down as a start date of 25th but as yet still nothing.I have now had 4 different start dates and not one has happened. The fact that the salesman said it would be 3 weeks to get it all working, which should have started in January.I think I must live in a different world.

Hi RCF,
Sorry for the delay in responding. I have been unable to get any detailed info myself so I have raised your issues as a complaint to the CEO team someone will contact you within 48hours to investigate further.
They will be able to get the order sorted for you. please make sure you come back to let us know how you get one.
Thanks

Hi All,
Just thought I'd let you know that I had a similar problem. I originally signed up from a seller on a stand in my local shopping centre at the end of Jan. I was told I'd receive stuff in the post and after a couple of weeks when I'd heard nothing I phoned up and found that my order had not been registered and there was no record of it. I had to sign up again directly with TT and logged a complaint at the time (no idea if it's been followed up though). I have had a bit of bother with separate phone/BB order numbers which I don't think is yet resolved - but my phone went live late Feb and BB went live a couple of weeks ago and all is working (fingers crossed, touch wood etc).
I'm wondering if the problem is a lack of communication between the shopping center sellers and the guys back at HQ??

I signed directly with TT. It was Talktalk that lost my first signing.I got the phone set up early February and although my exchange went LLU on 11th February I am still waiting . They put me temporary with a 2 meg line and although it is stable I was promised that if I had an 8meg connection with my other supplier then there would be no problems and I would have the same 8 meg connection. When is another matter it seems.I thought that a months trial would be long enough to find out if I was happy but I think I will need at least six months as I wont know until I get the full BB that I was promised.

WEll it is now Monday late afternoon. I had to go out although I did ask if the tech guy on Friday if Robin could ring in the morning but he managed to ring at 2 pm.I tried to ring back but there was no answer so have left a message to ring me again. Wednesday call within 48hour. Call arrived when I went to help the old lady opposite, later almost on the dot of 48 hours contact was made and a guy said that Robin who could sort this out would ring Monday. I asked if it could be AM if poss. Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday Monday.the days just seem to roll on. Still hoping to talk to some one. It would be nice to get this sorted out. I must be patient after all it is only 3 months so far.

Robin should ring me tomorrow morning early. I am told that I will be connected on the 11th of this month, but then I was told that it would be 11 February and have since been told at least 5 different dates that I would be started, as well as 11th march. I just will not believe anything that is said until it actually happens, as to be honest I have grave doubts about any thing I am told now by Talk talk . I think that after all the hassle that I have had to put up with talk talk they should have given me some sort of priority. I only hope that it is worth the wait. When I applied I was thinking 3 weeks, but from early January to the near the middle of April is a long time especially when the salesman said 3 weeks.

Robin rang me today and confirmed that I should be turned on on 11th April. Just have to wait and see.

Thanks Steven. Today I am now up and running and a quick speed test showed that I am getting a very good 6.8meg. Too early to see how it goes in the evenings when more people are on line.I am using Vista and I think that Vista is supposed to be self adjusting for Broadband!!??I checked the tweak test at DSL Reports and it said 100% and no problems. If it stays near these speeds then I shall be very pleased indeed.
