According to Sam Knows my exchange "Sunderland North" has been unbundled and i would like to get some information from TalkTalk with regards to this and when i can expect to be moved.
Anyone Any Ideas?
nb: Might be worth having a seperate Unbundling Section as im sure i wont be the only one with these questions.

Hi,
We have a list of "to be unbundled" exchanges in the TalkTalk Members Service Dashboard (http://www.talktalkmembers.com/content/view/54/131/) but currently do not have a list of "already unbundled".
What types of info are you looking for ?
There are loads of complications with getting certain types of information on scheduling of line unbundling as there are with all this telecoms stuff. Each MSAN (the equipment TalkTalk put in the exchange) can support a certain number of users.
Each MSAN draws a certain amount of power and takes up a set amount of floor space. The exchanges have finite power capacity and finite space so sometimes it is impossible to add more MSANs due to power consumption restrictions in the exchange or space restrictions.
Each exchange has a diary maintained by BT Openreach where time has to be booked to access it. They are very cramped places and they try and restrict the number of engineers and the type of work they are doing in order to reduce congestion.
So, the issue is that even though an exchange is unbundled its a complicated matter to determine when customers will get migrated and I guess its even possible to have an unbundled exchange where the MSAN is full of unbundled customers and yet the exchange still has other customers still running over Openreach lines.

I was told by a sales person that once the exchange was unbundled my broadband would be free and upgraded.
I am a network engineer and understand some of the issues and can imagine others.
At the moment im on a 2MB connection when my neighbour has 3.5MB on BT (max)
