Hi,

I took out the talktalk international 3 package in January because of the free international calls. I also like the fact that I could call a Bulgarian mobile for 15p/min

However - it now seems that calls to bulgarian mobiles are being charged at 65p! I have looked up the tarrif sheet (dated 1st feb 2008) but this has all changed as the international tarrif has been replaced by the gloabal tarrif and seems to imply that i will be charged at the higher rate.

Now i wish i had downloaded and kept the January tarrif sheet as I was very careful to check that mobile calls would be charged at 15p and i am convinced this is what it said. I would not have signed up if this was not the case.

I tried customer care but got the usual 30 minute wait - a brief discussion about the the fact my tarrif did not inclued this and then was cut off!

Does anyone have the tarrif sheet from January so I can double check my facts? Please don't refer me to the latest version because as i said it has changed.

Many thanks

Mark

Hi Mark,

Sorry to hear that you were cut off when trying to sort this issue out.

With regards to your query Talk 3 Global is a new plan that has been introduced and does not replace Talk 3 international.

I dont have the old pricing to hand but will see if I can get hold of it. When you are dialing the Bulgarian mobile numbers have you been inputting 18418 before the number? If you do you will get the calls at 20p a minute else you are charged at the standard rate.

Hi Andy,

Thank you for the swift response. I have not been using the prefix as I did not think I had to for calls made to the countries in the list . It certainly was not made clear that I had to do that.

I look foward to getting the old tarrif sheet to see exactly what it states.

Hope I can clear this up for you.

On the International call plan you will automatically receive free calls to landlines numbers of the 36 free countries. To receive discounts on mobile calls the prefix is required.

Our new Global package does away with this by automatically give you a discounted rate and also increase the number of free countries.

Will let you know as soon as I can get more info on the older tarifs.

Hi Andy,

The 18418 code does not seem to work - I just get an unrecognised number message.

Also have you been able to locate the January tarrif list yet?

Many thanks,

Mark

If you cant resolve try this as a alternative
http://niftylist.co.uk/calls/to/bulgaria/mobile/
15p to a Bulgarian mobile is very expensive (through this site is 10p)
