E-mail Issues - Resolved

Print E-mail

Following on from the previous update TalkTalk can confirm that the Email platform (POP3, IMAP, & Webmail) has remained stable during peak hours over the last 72 hours.

They have had no further issues outages reported; however they are aware that they do have a small amount of isolated customers who are unable to collect email via any of the above technologies. We are investigating these on an individual basis with the support from the reporting party.

The current tactical deployment of webmail contains reduced functionality and is a temporary solution to restore service, and to help TalkTalk engineers understand and complete analysis into the underlying root cause of this issue.

At present TalkTalk have two senior AOL engineers who are on site in the UK and working with CPWN engineers to identify the underlying reason(s) for this failure.

All mail unavailable between
00:00 and 02:00 on the 20th March 2008

TalkTalk are also completing planned works this evening in relation to this issue, and therefore the mail platform will be unavailable between 12:00am – 02:00am.
