Netgear DG834G Version 3 Set Up
If you are using a Netgear DG834G Version 3 then damianiw from the forums has prepared this set of instructions to set it up to work well with TalkTalk.
initial Problem
I was experiencing a disconnect, lcp down, lcp up every 1-5 mins between 8 pm and 5am, I was told there were no network issues.
SO I moved the router to the master socket - no difference.
I changed all my filters to the one's included in my huwaii modem, just incase my old one's had a problem, and I also used the huwaii rj-11 cable to connect the router to the filter.
Router Setup
Firmware seemed to help a lot, at this time I have the latest UK Only one installed,
- Upgraded Firmware To V4.01.28
- Basic Settings

Again I'd note I updated my V3 to the V4.01.28 firmware, UK Only, please check your router version as different ones use different firmware.
Fingers crossed I now have a stable connection (over 2 weeks and only 2 lcp downs, one of which I instigated by clicking disconnect to test the log).
Hope this is of help
Damian
