SmartAX MT882 Router Works on USB and not on LAN

If you have moved your SmartAX MT882 router from a USB connection to a LAN connection and it no longer connect to the internet then this may be because the router needs the username and password setting in its configuration. Instructions on how to do this can be found in the help article SmartAX MT882 Modem

The symptoms are that the LINK light is either solid green or flashing orange.
