TalkTalk Network Status

TalkTalk aim to give you the best possible service and want to keep you fully informed about any problems that may temporarily disrupt your landline or broadband services. The TalkTalk Network Status table lists the most recent problems that TalkTalk are aware of. Engineers are currently investigating and working on fixing these as quickly as possible. In the meantime TalkTalk would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.

In addition to the outages listed below we are aware of a number of other issues.

Congested Exchanges

A number of exchanges are known to be suffering from high traffic levels. Upgrades are scheduled for these exchanges and the affected exchanged are listed here in the article TalkTalk Exchange Capacity

If you are having problems with your TalkTalk landline or broadband connection, and your area is not listed, please contact their faults department on 0870 087 8777.

Since 02:04 Tue, May 13th	Reading 01183, 01189	Customers may experience problems connecting to the internet. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this issue. Openreach engineers investigating.
Since 11:09 Tue, May 6th	Kirkby in Ashfield and Leabrook 01623, 01773	Customers may experience problems making and receiving calls. We can confirm that our Engineers sucessfully installed the replacement switch, however service is still to be restored awaiting further work and investigations still being carried out by Third Party Engineers, Cable and Wireless. Since 11:04 Thu, Feb 21st	Ellesmere Port 0151	Customers may experience slow broadband speeds in peak hours. We have identified capacity issues at the Ellesmere Port Exchange, at peak times we have experienced up to 97% utilization, however this peak utilisation period can vary day by day. Expected date for the upgrade work to take place is 27/05/2008. Customers will experience slow broadband speeds during peak hours only. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this issue. Since 17:50 Fri, Dec 21st	Nine Elms 0208	Customers may experience slow broadband speeds in peak hours. We have identified capacity issues at the Northolt Exchange, at peak times we have experienced up to 96% utilization, however this peak utilisation period can vary day by day. Upgrade work has now been scheduled for 19/05/08. Customers will experience slow broadband speeds during peak hours only. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this issue. BT Denotes "BT Openreach". BT Openreach is part of the BT Group of Companies. They work on behalf of Communication Providers such as TalkTalk. BT Openreach look after the wires that connect homes and workplaces to the local telephone exchange where Communications Providers like TalkTalk take over.

CPWN denotes "Carphone Warehouse Networks".Carphone Warehouse Networks are part of The Carphone Warehouse Group of Companies. CPWN look after the network that TalkTalk uses to supply your line.
