Google and iPhone sitting in a tree...

Google announced a revision of the Google Docs interface designed more mobile devices, in particular the iPhone. You can now get "mobile-optimized versions of your docs, spreadsheets, and even presentations (for iPhone only for now)" by pointing your mobile browser at http://docs.google.com/m

In addition, Apple and Google came to an agreement over specially optimised Google Maps (a must-have online application) for viewing on the iPhone.

Even more exciting perhaps is the turnaround of Apple to allow, in fact welcome, 3rd Party applications for the iPhone. Initially they stated that loading third-party applications onto the iPhone would void the warranty! Expect to see all sorts of innovative applications and uses; imagine instant messengers, MacMAME or other games engines, GPS navigation via bluetooth, Skype, a universal remote control, Blackberry Connect or ActiveSync...
