TalkTalk has recently experienced a number of incidents of theft in their exchanges, most recently at the Croydon exchange on Saturday, 22nd November. This has led to interruption of service. After assisting police with their investigations they we were able to quickly restore service. Security is being reviewed to safeguard property and the service delivered to each customer.
We have received this update from TalkTalk; "UPDATE : We continue to liaise with the police and BT regarding these thefts. The stolen equipment was located in BT exchanges and we are therefore subject to BT's security policies. We are currently working with them to see how security can be tightened in this area - the crime seems to have been one of a number perpetrated against BT exchanges in recent months."
