TalkTalk and CPW Networks are starting a project to upgrade many exchanges over the coming months.
Exact details of the work carried out will vary on an exchange by exchange basis but will be a combination of various tasks including
The most exciting addition is the new test kit. This will provide more detailed diagnostics for support staff to enable them to isolate faults in the telephone lines and also introduce improved diagnostics for other broadband issues. In addition it will be able to run more advanced pro-active monitoring from every exchange to try and identify any new issues sooner.
The first exchanges to be upgraded are listed below. Customer impact should be low as work will be taking place in the early hours of the morning.
