One really clever nice touch is the dynamic nature of the themes you can apply to your iGoogle home page. There are seven themes, including the original Classic, Beach, Bus Stop, City Scape, Sweet Dreams, Tea House, Seasonal Scape, and new additions Aja Tiger, Autumn, Hong Kong, JR, and Solar System. The first time you select a theme, you may be ask for some regional information such as your city or post code. Some of the themes use this information and will dynamically change to match the time of day, including local sunrise and sunset times! Other themes change to reflect your local weather conditions! To choose or change the theme of iGoogle, click the Select Theme link in the upper-right corner of the page.

The whole thing can be repeat on new Tabs on your Home page. Interestingly, you can ask Google to populate the tab contents automatically, based on the name you give the Tab (e.g. News, Technology, Sport). Example configurations include a news tab, a Google account tab (with calendar, email etc.), a city tab with maps and guides to local area. You can have a different theme on each tab if you like. A theme editor would've been perfect.
There are hundreds of tools to add to panels on your iGoogle Home page. As well as those written by Google themselves, many 3rd party developers have got in on the action. Some are better quality than others. Often, it's a case of reading existing reviews and adding it to see if a tool suits your needs. They are simple to remove if not!
