Network Improvements

A massive network upgrade is currently underway which will improve not only reliability but also the potential for future services.

Local exchanges are being migrated onto the TalkTalk Technology^* network. To date around 700 exchanges have been migrated onto the network which utilises new optical equipment and means no more relying on third party carriers and suppliers. Another key benefit of this upgrade a ten-fold increase to Gigabit capacity over the network.

TalkTalk customers can get the standard Magic Desktop program free of charge. The premium version of Magic Desktop includes more content in its applications than the standard version.
